Every traditional occasions one offers these saree to gods, which may have temple motifs, small zari designs also feature on the borders. Usually they prefer shades of red, green offering to one’s holy deities and black is considered as inauspicious, heard by locals here, younger generation have left Narayanpet to pursue their fortunes elsewhere.
