These tribes speak Lamani language/Goar-boali it is also called as Banjari language. One can see Banjara tribes in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat in these places they are widely spread across. Types of stitches
Their are fourteen different types of stitches which are practiced namely Kaudi, Maki, kans, Kilan, Vele, Bakkya, Suryakanti Maki, Tera Dora, Relo, Gadri, Bhuriya, Pote, Jollya and Nakra.

This intricate embroidery carries contrasting colors, this art work involves lot of triangles, diamonds shapes, irregular shapes, circles, squares, angularly zoomorphic and geometrical combinations.
